Hi
I was originally going to post this on a different thread but I soon realised that (like my last question) this does sound pretty noobish so yeah...
I have recently purchased a Tascam US 1641 in order record drums (separate tracks
).
Before this I have been recording by simply plugging my Behringer Eurorack UB802 mixer into the line input on my pc soundcard and recording into Samplitude Music Studio 14.
I am now however experiencing some problems...
I can't hear anything...I can tell that the soundcard and software (now Cubase le5) are recording properly and I have set the inputs how i want them. But as for outputs well i'm a bit lost
So my questions are...
1.Where do i plug in my moniters (Behringer MS16) because right now they are coming out of my pc's soundcard which i'm pretty sure is wrong
2.What output settings do I put into cubase?
3.Although it normally work perfectly Fl studio 8 seem to have the same problem when the 1641 is turned on, is this related to the same problem?
4.Could the 1641 work with Samplitude 14? (i.e. record multiple tracks at once)
5.Could/Should I use my behringer UB802 as an external mixer thingy?
6.If I have to plug my moniters into the Tascam soundcard can i change the settings on my pc to make it my main soundcard? (so like all sound on my computer comes out of it?)
7.I happen to have this Edirol UA-101 soundcard that i've never really used...does this help?
8.Could the no playback problem be due to a completley different thing?
Anyway thanks and my apologies if there is a super easy solution that i'm just missing
