I'm still thinkin about one of these but I was sittin at but workstation/bench/stuido area/all in one center, and I started wonderin if I was using my ADK A51 type V microphone ( which will pick up the wood stove craclin in the next room ) is gonna pick up the sound of my computer tower hummin and the drive runnin ? ? ?

Well, there's a good chance that if you are recording near your computer, and it has a loud fan, your condenser will pick up the sound. You can work around it by deadening your room and making sure the computer is behind the mic (in the null of the cardioid pattern). Getting a longer cable and placing the CPU & your mic in separate rooms is another option. Some people go as far as building isolation boxes for their CPUs. So far, I haven't had a noticeable problem on my recordings just using room treatment and mic placement. My fan is pretty quiet though. I occasionally will pick up the sound of my hard drive clicking at the end of a song.

It will definately pick up that noise, you should run the mic into a different room to record or you could do two things:

1) Open your pc, unplug any un-needed case fans (not cpu of course)
2) Go into your pc's "bios" or "setup" settings and make sure the pc is using advance power management or energy saver to keep the fans at minimal speed.

I use my US-122 with a laptop so I don't have this issue. :o
