Tascam US-122 Mac OS X Mountain Lion

I originally posted this in a general discussion area so noticed the Tascam forum and have now added my post here. Newb error. My bad.

So, I've been using my US-122 for many years now. It's simple & does (did) the job i need it to.

I just updated my Mac's operating system to 10.8.3 and unfortunately my US-122 will no longer power up.

My google research suggests it may be because Mountain Lion is strictly 64 bit and doesn't support 32 bit apps/hardware at all. Is this correct ? Is there anything i can do to get the US-122 to work ?

And....if i can't get it to work, what would be a suitable replacement ?

Hey buddy

Yeah im using the US 144 but on windows. I went from Vista (no dramas) to a new lappy (windows 8) and had some dramas! I found that it was the USB 3 ports on the laptop. I either had to plug into the only USB 2 port or i had to go into a USB hub (which can plug into any port). I might not be much help but i thought id just let you know anyways =P oh an i went from 32 bit to 64 bit too with only that issue.
