Tascam tsr-8 belt keeps coming off,need replaced?

I've got a tsr-8 that will work for a little while and then the belt will slip completely off,I put it back on and it runs for a bit and then comes off again.Is this a sign I need a new belt.It doesn't look worn but could it be old and maybe stretched bigger than it should be?How hard is it to change the belt and where might I find one.Thanks
 
Yes you need a new belt. And tascam should have that in stock.
Sorry I have never changed a tsr8 belt but if its anything like their other models its not that hard.
All of the other tascam models I have done you had to take the front cover off of the machine.

i changed the belt 6 weeks ago i found a great thread on this web site the fellow posted pix's and really good directions to change the belt. the only thing is just take your time and keep track of those tiny washers on the rollers good luck

start with this link; your gonna have to scroll through all the posts, unfortunatly i cant remember where it was but its definitly here, also check analog only forum if its not in tascam forum " i know it sucks theres thousands of posts and i couldn't get the search engine to narrow it down ,so i spent an hour searching manually
