I'm a newb here and in general to the analog world of recording. I just bought a mint condition Tascam Portastudio 488 (the original, not the mkII) and successfully recorded a few songs the past few days.
The long term goal is to bounce each individual track into ProTools so I can mix on there. Right now I am just taking the RCA outs and bouncing the whole mix into one track on ProTools. I noticed there is information on how to bounce each individual track for the mkII, but am wondering if the process is the same for the the mk1. There are subtle differences between these two models and I want to make sure the information found on this site for bouncing from the mkII is still applicable.
Any help would be much appreciated.
Thanks,
Jesse
