Tascam MX-80 preamp

Tascam's mic pres scare me, although I own and use the pres on a DM-24 pretty regularly. I just can't get into them. They sound good, but I'll take my Joe Meek or Sytek pres over them anyday.

But for the price, I'd go ahead and try. Seriously - $61?. Give it one session and if don't like it on anything, turn it around. And let us know what you thought.
 
Yes, it's a v-nice mic preamp/mixer, that's colorful, versatile, and way cool.

Yes, the current low prices of the MX-80 make it an especially nice piece.
