Tascam MTS-30

Hi. Any of you guys have the user manual for the TASCAM MTS-30? Or point me towards any place I cam download one? Can't find it on the net anywhere.
Alternatively, can anyone give me any tips on using it beyond what it says in the manual for MSR-16/TSR-8.

I have a MTS30 and have used, but it has been awhile.

I will check to see if I have the manual.
 
Wow, that would be great. There are a multitude of Tascam manuals both old and new on the net - but NOTHING for the MTS-30! Teac/Tascam did not even dignify my request with a response. Bit disapointed with them.
 
Im not familiar what the Tascam MTS-30 is?? Could you tell me what it is? THANKS :)
 
Hi. Well, the MTS-30 was (is) basically a MIDI sync box. You can find reference to it in the instruction manuals of Tascam tape decks like the TRS-8 & MSR-16 as well as some of the tape based Portastudio machines. It will stripe a code to one of the tape tracks. On playback, it will convert this code to FSK or MTC so you can run a sequencer in sync with the tape. I have been struggling to do this - hence the post. No problem striping the code to tape - just not able to then get that sync track to run the sequencer. I have also tried similar "boxes" with no luck. (JL Cooper PPS-1, Friend Chip SRC/AT Plus). The thing is, I don't have any manuals for these either, so I don't know what I am doing wrong.

Although I could have sworn I had teh MTS30 manual, I can not locate it with all of the rest of my manuals.

It could be that I just followed the instructions in the MSR24 manual.

The unit is very unsophisicated it. The tape deck is the master time keeper. As I recall we sync'ed the MSR24 to a computer and possible to an Alesis HD24.

You can't use the MTS30 to sync towo tape machines together. For that you will need the MTS1000. The MTS30 is only a MIDI sync. It does not have machine control. The MTS1000 offers the machince control so that you can sync two MSR24 decks or other combination together.
 
HA! I did find it. After I posted the orginial respoonse, I remembered I have two MSR24s. So I started thinking, maybe I left it inside the other MSR24 manual. Sure enough, there it is. I can scan this in and send it to you, but it will take a bit as it is 15 or so pages.

Do you have an email address I can send it to?
 
I sent you each an email via TransferBigFiles. The scan ended up as 19MB. I don't have a pdf editor so I can't reduce the size any without redoing the scans, which is a bit of a pain on my side.
