Tascam mixer(m-512?)

I was working at a pawn shop today, and found a Tascam mixer(m-512?) in the back. The guy said he would let me have it for $200.00
So while I was working I started to get an ich, and had to look it over.

Anyone familiar with this board, might it be worth it?
Im gonna try to talk him down, he said it was a good price ($200).
Claims he just wants to get rid of it because he has no room up front for it...

Oh yeah, I dont recall seeing a power supply. If he doesnt have it would I be able to find one for it?

Any opinions, and info is greatly appreciated!

The M512's a nice mixer, dude,...

& you can't go wrong for $200. That mixer is easily worth $400 or more. Besides, it's a damn nice mixer for,... uh,... audio,... uh,... recording. I'd say, go for it.
 
Great mixer, awesome price. Without the power supply its a big paperweight though.
 
Update!
Im sad to say this....Turns out the mixer was an M-520 w/power supply. I went back to the store, and the guy said he sold it (for $500). Just to be a jerk he said "see I told ya it was worth it, but you didnt listen bla, bla, bla".

I got up on ebay to see if any were listed, one person has one listed at over $1000 wow.. Man, maybe I missed a great deal?


I think everything must happen for a reason, while I was searching for the M-520 I found a mint condition M-2516 for a "buy it now" price of $280 +$60 shipping.
I here some do not like this mixer, but I feel it will make a good stepping stone for me.

Anyone like to comment on the M-2516?

BTW, Im stepping up from a Yamaha 4track mt4x with very limited skills.

Tascam M-520 question

I hope to sell my M520, but am not sure of the value of this nice warm sounding analog device.
It is it good shape and the only problems are a few dirty pots and a couple of VU lights that are out.
Would Ebay be a good place to list it for sale and is there a demand for analog gear these days?
What would be a good “asking”price for this console?

Any comments and suggestions would be appreciated.
