Hello to all, I'm new to the forum and I'm in need of some help with my setup that involves the Tascam M-30 Analog Mixer. I have a bus in logic routed to output 3-4 on my motu ultralight. 3-4 outputs from MOTU going into 3-4 of the tascam m-30 mixer line inputs, I'm trying to route the 3-4 tascam m-30 direct outs to go back into the motu 3-4 inputs to record in logic. The issue is that I'm not hearing or seeing anything going into my mixer and obviously nothing coming out back into logic. I'm definatly seeing the motu 3-4 outs feeding signal just not hearing anything on the board. Any thoughts? I've read the manual 2 times already, can't seem to find the answer, someone please help if possible. The Access RSV SEND have the factory jumpers in them so that is not the issue. The input switches are on Line on the board the faders are up. Seeing nothing on the mixer. I'm basically trying to eventually make a setup where I have 4 busses in logic that I would like to run through the desk back into logic to record 4 buses. My apologies in advanced I'm kinda new to the analog world.

On the M-30:

Are you using the channel assign buttons to route the signal to any of the four output channels? If not, you will neither see any indication on the meters or, hear anything from the headphone output.

Ok, yes got the sound to go through the board. And yes it was the assign buttons. But can someone explain this to me as I was using direct outs?

I thought the assign buttons sent signal to the buses.

The problem wasnt with the direct outs, it was assigning the line inputs so they could be heard.
