I just wanted to give the Tascam M-108 mixer a shot out for being really warm well featured mixer for 4 or 8 track recording. It has tape inputs on each of the 8 channels as well as pre-fader aux sends and tape path monitoring. It also allows for two FX devices that can be selected upon for each channel. I've had one for years and love it and recommend it for anyone that has a stand alone 4 or 8 track recorder.
