Tascam DP01 FX-CD question

I picked this unit up yesterday and I can't get any sound out if it. I connected headphones and the guitar- checked the volume and faders but got no sound. Does there need to be an additional connection besides the headphones to the Line Out?? The LED indicates that there is sound being produced, I just can't hear it. Any help would be great, thanks.

I spoke with Tascam and they feel it's a defective headphone input, so I'm off to exchange it!

getting sound

if that doesnt cure your problem ...make sure to hold the shift button and press the multi button to assign a side for the unit. you will know when the ride light comes on for a or b or you can assign both. good luck
