Hi- just hooked up the DP-24 (I'm a brand new, novice user) and when I hook up my Samson powered gig speakers to the monitor out and turn the monitor out volume know up the volume is really low thru the speakers. I've only tested this using the pre-recorded demo track that comes with the unit. I"m guessing I have something else set wrong but I have the master output slider up full too.

Any suggestions? The Samsons work super loud when previously connected to a non digital mixer.

thanks

Ugh...is your speakers self powered???

Besides the Monitor Level control and Master fader on the DP-24, have you also pushed up the faders on the individual tracks? Have you tried headphones? The headphone jack is on the same buss as the monitor outs, so that should give an indication of the levels going to the monitor out jacks.
What's the model name/number of the Samson monitors?

+1 ^
The monitor out level is also tied to the headphone level, a very restricting kludge IMHO.

The level diagram shows there to be plenty of signal available, even 0dBu should adequately drive any powered monitors but I note that there is a -10dBV option? This could be the problem but a 5 minute search of the manual did not reveal to me how you switch the operating level!

Dave.
