Hello my dear camarades,
Suddenly (1 year after its purchase) the INPUT B on my Tascam DP-24 is out of order. As I only use two microphone INPUTS at a time, it's not a big problem, I've just moved on to INPUT C. Question: is this an irremediable problem, I mean, do I have to take it back to the shop where I bought it and be without a recording studio for a couple of weeks or more? The idea doesn't appeal to me at all because I'm really deep into recording now and will be for at least the duration of the winter. Should I let somebody know at the commercially responsible end of things?
Other than that there's something else that maybe someone can help me with: I would like to be able to send files from Garage Band (via iTunes) to my Tascam. Although I have selected WAV in the custom converting page of iTunes Preferences, nothing that I send to iTunes from Garage Band gets translated into WAV files, but always comes out as AIFF files which are unusable in my Tascam. Is there a solution for this problem? I'm not DAW oriented, but I just wanted to see if I couldn't tweak my tracks a bit on Garage Band.
Thank you from the heart for any and all ideas you may have to offer.
