Hey,

My son purchased a DP08 a week ago and is thrilled. He's learning how to properly mic the drums. But has been bothered by a situation with his friends electric guitar.

1 - On the finished test master track - there seems to be clipping.

2 - None showed up on the OL light.

3 - And the input knob was almost turned all the way down.

The output to cd was "okay" except for the clipping.

On my iMac - I messed with the equilizer on iTunes and got the guitar to sound great - again except for the clipping.

When it's played back naturally - it sounds like it;s playing under a blanket. Okay but muffled.

I don't know what type of guitar it is - but it's a Line 6 Amp with an effects pedal.

Does anyone have any beginner advice on what he could be looking for to fix the issue. It just doesn't seem natural that the input knob would be turned almost all the way down.

Any help is appreciated! Thanks!

Hi, could you tell us how you are recording the guitar? Are you using a mic or direct connect? What kind of mic and how us it placed?
