Hi guys, I've been using it for about 3 weeks now and have finished 6 songs I'd like to get to CD. I'm having a problem figuring out the mastering part of it, I mix it to how I like with the EQ settings and reverb and what not. I save it how it is, then press (shift) master and I get the 'Track too short' message. I've tried to figure out the problem and re read the manual a bunch of times but I'm just having no luck, any help would be very appreciated!

The only thing I can think of from that error is that your "In" and "Out" marks aren't set. It doesn't really know where to start and where to end. Set those up and you should be good to go.

DP 02 Problem Please Help

Hi Everyone, I am a newbe and new to recording. I am in a working band and wanted to get into recording at home so,, I bought a dp 02 the other day. Put some drum tracks on it the other night at a friends house and everything was going good. Went home and last night was going to lay down some vocals and guitar and when i went to power it up I get a message that says ( No CD, Please power down ) Now i did this but when i power it up i get same message. I called Tascam in Cali and a tech told me to power it off, push track edit and the up curser key while powering it back on. I did that and then it prompts you to push yes to re-initialize the hard disk. Did all that and still have same message. Has anyone run into this. I dont want to send it to Cali for a month to get fixed. Please Hep and Thanks for your time.

Thanks for the help, and I have yet to run into that problem (hopefully I don't) but try putting in a disk when it says that while its powered. (If you have warrenty then I figure you could mess with it as it is a malfunction in the product. As I was saying, put the CD in and press track edit. It shoud go to the track edit screen and try to just simpily eject the CD. If you can not figure it out, your only option may be to Send it to cali and have it worked on, try to figure out the problem fast, so you can send it and get it back quicker if need be. Once again thanks for the help and Good luck to your self!
