I am curious as to how these two digital mixers compare. Anyone try out or own either of these budget-conscious mixers and how do you like them? I am not interested in hearing from people who haven't heard the behringer board and just want to bash the crap out of it -- been there, done that. I just want to know about how these boards sound and function from people who have used them. Thanks a bunch!

DDX3216

I just got a DDX3216 (with 2 ADT 1616 cards) and I absolutely LOVE it!! I replaced my Mackie 32 ch with it and I am very glad I did. It is a very cool board. Although I read most of the posts on here, I ignore most of the ones who simply bash things mindlessly without any basis for their opinions. It's the same mentality as the people I see with the "piss on chevy/ford/dodge" logos that drive around my neighborhood. Somehow, that makes them feel better about themselves. Anyway, I actually OWN the ddx3216 and I am amazed at how many features are loaded on it. The specs are great, too. I would seriously recommend that people check this board out before buying a digital mixer. I don't think you'll find anything that comes close - especially for the money.

I wouldn't buy the behringer because I would never buy something from Behringer that's over 250 dollar. But that has nothing to do with the subject (and I don't know the unit so who am I to say right) Right.

I have been following the forums on the Tascam website since I used to own a tascam digital console and their seem to be a lot of trouble with the DM24. Check that site before buying it.

I do not know the Tascam but have used the Berry since january and have found it to do everything that it says on the box with no probs.

I too have the Adat expansion board that feeds my Alesis hd24 and makes the whole job so simple.

It is built like a Tank and comes with a good Manual
and last of all it sounds good.

Over to the Berry bashers.

I've beenlooking into this and there are differences.

1. Tascam has 16 mike inputs, Behringer has only 12.
2. Tascam is 24/96, Behringer is only 24/48

just a couple of important differences. :)

cheers
John

Do any of the proud Behringer owners have any examples of their work to share? I have never tried their digital boards and I am curious how they compare,

I wonder how stable is the OS on the berry?! I guess the main problem on the DM24 is the OS, but a major upgrade is coming to it (that´s what I read)... How much is the price difference btw those two units? How does the converters sound on the Berry?
