Tascam DA88/38

Hi,
I am using a DA 88 and 2 DA38s for rercording. When formatting the tapes, I understand that the 88 stripes LTC code on there as well. Can i format these tapes all at the same time, if one is a 30 min and the others are 113? Just need some comfirmation on this....thanks.

I expect that i should use the 38 for the 30 min as the 88 is the master. that way, it wont stop at 30 min.

When you format the tapes you should not have them chasing. Why would you format tapes of different lengths?

I think the 88 will stripe smpte if you have the sy-88 card. That isn't a big deal if you aren't trying to sync to anything but the other decks. The decks sync to ABS
