Tascam 644 vs. 688 ???

what are the differences between the 644 and the 688.
The only thing I can see from pictures is the meterbridge?
Is there more options for recording on the 688,..like say, ins and outs??

I have the 688; it is an 8track recorder with amixer capable of 10 chanels of mikes and a secondary mixer for 10 chanels of line inputs. It has inswerts on the chanels and 2aux sends. It is capable of recording 8 tracks at atime if desired or as little as 1. there is also monitor mix section. There is much more than I can describe. The 644 is part of the same series but is 4track and, I believe has other limitations. Hope this helps, love my 688-Carp:D
