Is there any way in which I will be able to adjust the pan after recording? I'm trying to adjust but can't hear it working. Is there a special way to do it?
Uhh, hmm. The pans (when recording) are used to assign the mixer tracks to tape tracks - they should usually be panned hard left or hard right during recording to maintain separation between tracks.
When playing back, the pans are used normally for stereo mixing. Make sure that you are monitoring correctly, though: punch 1/2 on each track, not 3/4; in the monitor section, only 1/2 (and any effect returns you're using) should be depressed.
Also make sure the MONO button is not pressed or you'll hear everything in mono, not stereo.
