Hi guys. New here, thought this would be a good place to get some info.

I've been using a tascam 488 mkii 8-track tape recorder for a while now, and I've known that it has the facility to record and send SMPTE timecode for sync to DIN or other devices that can read it. This is done via the sync send and receive jacks.

my question is: what is the size of jack that fits into there? It's not 1/4", it's even smaller than 3.5mm. is it RCA? my sequencer sends from a 1/4" jack and I need to know what kind of adaptor to get.

any help would be much appreciated; I'd finally be able to multitrack my synthesisers in time!

According to my 488 mkII manual they are just RCA jacks.
