tascam 424 to pc...

Sorry...I'm sure this question has been asked before. I am trying to mixdown my tracks from a Tascam 424 to my computer. I have the 1/8" to RCA chord which I plug into my line-in. I get no signal from my line-in.

I then plug the chord into my microphone input. I get a mono signal (no stereo). I am using a free program called Audacity to record.

I just want a good stereo signal. What am I doing wrong?

PC or Mac?

You will need to go from the two RCA (right and left) to a stereo 1/8" into your soundcard. Make sure that the record level is set on you PC. Use the little volume icon in the tray.
