I have a brand new solenoid "cushion" (stepped rubber washer) for the tape decks in the title of this thread. This is the rubber cushion that keeps your brake, pinch roller, and on some machines lifter solenoids from going *klak!* when engaged...goes between the plunger stop and the solenoid body. This part often goes sticky/gooey and is responsible for brake, pinch roller and lifter problems because the plunger is slow to release or won't at all.
