i have a 4 track analog tape recording studio
whats the best wat to use this for a decent sound?
what do i need ?

That question is the equivalent of asking "how long is a piece of string".... maybe browse through the many posts in this site or pickup a couple of books on recording techniques (suggestion: Huber & Runstein's "Modern Recording Techniques") and come back to ask something more specific.

Then you shouldn't have bought a cassette-based multitrack unit.... they're NOTORIOUS for hiss!!!!
 
Never mind what the bear says...I used to use a MkIII & never had a great deal of trouble with hiss. 'Course, I recorded a lot of stuff directly (not using mikes). Go to the Tascam.com site & check out their Portastudio forum there. Lots o' great tips!
