Tascam 2488 Neo

Hi Everyone, I am new to the world of Recording and I was looking for some help!!! I just bought a Tascam 2488 Neo, and when I powered it up ... it's telling me Error Code 02.... can somebody please help me... I tried to hit cancel but that won't work as well... any help right now would be great !!!
 
I don't have a Neo, but on the original 2488, error code 02 means "Cannot find digital input. Press EXIT". If you press Exit, and then check your input settings, you may have them set for digital input....either MIDI or S/PDIF, and the system is looking for a signal on those imputs. Hope this is helpful!
 
Number 2 stands for: Cannot find your digital input. Check your system input.

This means that digital input mode has been selected, but the NEO cannot detect a valid digital signal.

To correct the issue Press No/Exit and check the digital connection. If the connection is good, it is possible that the signal is the wrong type. The NEO expects a signal in S/PDIF format at 44.1 kHz. It cannot accept compressed audio formats.

This is directly from the manual, and also what the poster above me stated.
 
So what is it that can go plugged in to give me the digital input ??
