sorry... i'm a cubase guy so i'll be of limitted use most likely.... but try your manuals for logic... there's gotta be something similar to the devices tab in cubase.... make sure you download the latest drivers and firmware...

I'm not sure what you mean by the faders. Are you wanting to "only" set up the faders? Have you already set up your FW 1884 using the Apple Audio Midi set up assistant? Have you checked off the appropriate control surface parameters in the "Control Surface" set up in Logic? Logic also has the "set up assistant" that walks you through the "install" for the FW. Once you've done this, short of some minor quirks and anomalies, all functions, including faders should work. Also, as someone previously suggested, make sure you have the latest driver for the FW. I believe it's 1.60. available at their site. Short of what I just describes, make sure the usual human interface errors don't occur, i.e. firewire cable connected etc. Which MAC do you have? Which version of MAC OS Panther? Tiger 10.39? 10.4?

Does anyone know the status of the FW-1884 Machinator Mods? The Kits on the web page (http://www.jb-2000.net/fw1884/) are all listed as "SOLD OUT". I sent email to Rob several weeks back and never received a response. I would really like to get 4 of the kits (with upgraded op-amps, if possible). I'm hoping that Rob hasn't stopped making the kits.

Thanks!!

Don

Strange that Rob hasn't responded. I recall him to be fairly prompt. I can't speak for the status of the mod, but I will say that they sound great. I replaced my op-amps with OPA2111's, and now the pre's on the 1884 are quickly becoming my favorites.

Hopefully he'll be making more. I remember they were pretty popular. I would say keep trying him. Good luck!
