Ok got some newb question, i got my snare track, and my kick track
there is the samples :

And i want them to sound this way :

How can achieve this ? which type of compression or plugs or effetc do i have to use ?

sorry for the newb crap questions !

That snare is compressed like hell...Is that "The Used" or something? Your snare and kick sound great to me, very bright. I guess my set (not really my set, I'm borrowing it from a pal) just doesn't project that well. You're using Peal Sessions, aren't you?

it's not the used, but it was produced by the same guy, they re samples taken form drumkits from hell, i think that snare got too much reverb, dunno what kind of compression i have to use on it.

Oh :(. I was starting to hate myself and my Behringer mixer.

the kick drum you recorded doesn't sound too bad at all. i'd say compress it a bit more maybe (have to hear it in a mix to really say, maybe boost a TINY bit of low end. boost around 5000khz to get a little more definitionin a mix, but nto so much to make it sound to "clicky". your snare drum sound is very weak, you need to fool around with mic placement i'd say, and maybe even more, with the actual drum. the one in the "test" mp3 sounds like a really deep drum, tuned very well. your drum sounds like a standard 5"-6" deep shell, without much time spent on tuning. it has a "distant" feel, you need a more "in your face" feel. try moving the mic in a bit, tuning the drum lower, maybe new heads. or a new drum (deeper, wood rather than metal maybe).
