I have a bunch of old reel to reel tapes which were recorded on what I believe was a flat recorder with cine spindles.
I am attempting to transfer them to CD on a unit that has NAB spindles.
Not sure if my terminology is correct, but the old tape center holes are too small for the modern player.
Do I have any alternatives like buying some sort of hand unit that would allow me to transfer these tapes onto a proper reel?

Some machines have removeable NAB hubs. See if yours are removeable.

It doesn't appear that I am able to do that.
The machine is called "The Spirit of St, Louis." It was given to me so I don't know much about it.

Perhaps I mis-spoke on something.
The spindle on this machine is just about 1/16" or so larger than the hole in the old reels.
I am assuming that this is an NAB spindle.
