Tannoy Reveal 6

Hi guys... I´m planning to buy new monitors for my home studio, so...

I would like to hear comments from people that actually use or used to use the Tannoy Reveal 6... Pros? Cons?

dont have the 6's.. i do have the original powered type... and i love them except for being a little litght on the bottom... not hyped so what ya hears what ya got...

I have and still use the older Tannoy Reveals - passive, red face. They are a little light in bass, but that's to be expected with the driver size. I've just learned them and know not to overcompensate when mixing bass. I've got them paired with a Hafler TA1600 and feel they're great monitors.

Looks like the Reveal 6's have a couple refinements in design - one being extended high frequency capability. I guess the that would benefit for higher sample rate recording (i.e. 192 kHz). Can't hear that high stuff anyway, but...

At any rate, I've been more than pleased with my Reveals and feel they have a pretty flat, unflattering response (which is good for mixing).

I have the Reveal 8D's and love these monitors! I upgraded from a pair of Alesis M1mk2 and my mixes have greatly improved.
