Hey guys, i asked the forum about which drumset I should get, and most of the reply was for tama. I see two tama kits i am interested in, $200 price diffrerence. Can anyone tell me why? I willing to buy the $900 one but i just want to find a good reason to do so. Thanx

This is gonna be my studio set and also the set i will use with my thrash metal band.

Looks like an upgrade in some hardware and the bearing edges.

Are you a rhee-rhee??? Can you not type www.tama.com ???
The difference is the finish genius.

:D :D :D
For such a ridiculous initial comment, that certainly is a damn fine retort

Flame... I am interested in the same kit, not a drummer but looking for a studio kit as it is my new passion, don't know how much it is going for in canada...but as I dont wish to appear a rhee rhee I better type in www.tama.ca

Thanx for the replies. I checked the site, i didnt see a difference, but okay the finish costs $200 more? Wow! Are you sure thats it? If thats it, i might just get the lower cost one because i want to buy another rack tom as well. Thanks for the help and amusement :D :D :D .

Yeah thanks for the laugh as well. Got me thinking though.. .is a rhee rhee a more teenage version of the word wee wee? or has it got something to do with political leaders, I seem to recall some south east asian leader's name being Rhee or something . Korea? laos? Cambodia. after I finish with the tama stuff Im off to CIA files.

in south east asia they make fans out of bull rushes??? ive never used a rush fan.

I can actually be excused from the rush fan camp as I live in canada but Im from Oz, I actually thought Getty was of the feminine persuasion until I saw a live video of one of their concerts......a little shocked I was. Was supremely impressed by the drummer though.

Yeah, Neil's pretty dern good. He lives here in Santa Monica now.

I was always a fan.

Geddy's real name is Gary Lee Weinrib. Didja know?

Alex' real name is Alex Zivojinovic

and Neil's real name is Neil...Peart. (pronounced like "beert" for last time ...goddammit)

u sure it's not pronounced "pert"? :D

That will be good arsenal in my Rush conversations, I will know nothing about Rush but I will continually correct people as to the proper pronunciation of the drummers name. As a Rush fan maybe you can help me, I have heard this song a few times and I dont know what it is called. I heard it the other night in the car and the only words that come back to me were something like...............dah dah dah dah dah a little bit longer......dah dah dah dah dah a little bit stronger......(and then I think it was) the innocence slips away........... maybe the wrong words but it was close. One of the finer chorus/bridges I have heard, the transition from the verse to that part gave me one of those warm tingly things that I experience o too rarely from a fine piece of music.

wot was this thread about again?????????
