Rockin' & Rollin'
Hey people,
I've been posting a lot on the "Analog Only" section, bugging people with questions on reverb and the Tascam 388.

This was recorded completely on the 388 then mixed down to computer. The song is called "Heart of Stone," please let me know what you think.

I've included a full equipment list of what was used at at the bottom of this message.

Tascam 388
Direct bass
Mesa Boogie Single Rect. - 2x10 inch cab (SM57)
Carvin Tube Amp - 1x12 inch cab (SM57)
Pacific EZ Kit:
Bass drum - AKG D550
Snare - SM57
Sony stereo camcorder mike placed above toms to capture cymbals + mix
Jim Dunlop Heil Talkbox (SM58 with windscreen)
Vocals:
AKG condenser (can't remember model right now, but it was only about $40) - preamped through a Behringer Tube pre-amp
Effects:
Alesis Picoverb and Nanoverb
Sampled onto computer at 16 bit/88.2 khz. We thought we did 24 bit, but something always goes wrong, right?!?

If you've come this far, you must be really hungry for info about this song. Everything except vocals was done live in the same room (err basement). Solos and talkbox are included in this live setup. Talkbox and right guitar were split up on different channels.

Any feedback is appreciated, positive or negative.

Sounds pretty good. Vocals clip at 1:42 pretty badly, talk box sounds cool. I'm not so hot about the distortion on the guitar, it feels kinda "digital" I suppose. Cool song, I like it!
