Hey everyone, this is the band I am in and we are looking for some feedback on our music. This is a demo we (3 of us) recorded on my AKAI DPS 16 and it is mastered. Please have a listen at www.cdbaby.com/blackfall and tell us what you think!!! thanks again, and sorry but CDbaby is the only site we have our music on. the mp3 quality at cdbaby is fairly poor, so it's hard to critique. sorry mang.
 
I listened and checked out your page.

Some decent recorded sounds in there. Maybe the music needed something more innovative or signature to make it stand out to me more. Sounds like everybody was competent with their instruments but it was a bit familiar.

I like the name "the dude" tho, that's one of my favorite movies.

Also try to get full versions of the songs up as soon as you can, no one is going to like having the songs cut off at 2:00 mark. One last thing im betting is that if you hang out here long enough, you'll probably start to feel less and less like you need to go to a $/hr studio rather than DIY.



Addendum:

You really need to shift one of your 3 guitarists to play bass. Take turns if no one wants to do it (tho i have no idea why no one hasn't already, i love playing bass)
 
Is it possible to download from that site? I can't stream audio at work, and I didn't see a way to download. I'd like to give it a spin though...
 
hey thanks guys, I dont think you can download from cdbaby? not sure. anyway, we ahve been told that we are NOT familiar and are unique?? dont know. Who do you think that we could be compared to? Trying to find some way of describing our music so non musicians can get a sense of what we are about. Sorry about the clips but our page is not up yet. but will be soon!!! thanks for the info brothas! later the dude abides!!

It's where most here host their stuff.

hey khomp, there IS bass on there and wurlitzer although you probably cannot hear it on the computer speakers. wish I had better quality to post. this fucker is mastered and sounds amazing in the stereo! shit on me
