K I have two questions thats been driving me insane. First, I'm looking for a drum program were I can make my own beats (mostly metal), I need a program that I can tab out the drum parts any software out there thats better than tabit.

Second I use tabit for making my drum beats my friend said I can export them as a Midi file and import into my recording software I use cool edit pro. every time I try importing the file the audio track is blank and produces no sound.

plz help, guide, give advise, I'm new to everything that is midi

First off, midi has no sound. That's why your audio track is blank. You want to import on a midi track. Midi is just the instructions that tell a device what sounds to make. Think of it like the old player pianos that had a roll of paper with holes punched in it. The role of paper is the midi file, it is just the instruction. It is the piano that actually makes the sound.

So midi tells your drum program which drums to sound and when etc. This is a simple way of putting it, but a place to start.

So you now have a midi file that is instructions. If you insert a drum program (VSTi) on a track and tell it the input is the midi file, and the output is the audio of the drums, the program will now play your file. Here is a better read about midi:

As for drum programs, there are lots. EZ Drummer, Superior Drummer, Addictive Drums BFD, just to name a few. Do some googling and you will find one that is best suited for you.
