It ended up being pretty long, a little over 7mins. This was one of the first jams we did on this song (two electric guitars, drums and vox) so you can still hear a bit of the original vox when the drum OH's picked it up from the PA :o

I overdubbed the vox part and we put some maracas, bass and 12-string acoustic there to lighten it up. I'm sure we will have to mix it again when I can get a hold of some new monitors i.e adam a7's

anyway, thanks for listening!

Music mix sounds really good to me. Hats and ride may be just a little bright, but not too bad. I don't really like the vocals. They're pitchy and loud. I don't mind pitchiness if it's not so loud and out front. Drop or compress those vocals some. Overall pretty dang good. Long fucking song. I personally can do without all that stoner jam wankery for the last 3 minutes. :D

Hehe, yeah we thought about putting a long envelope there just as that jam started going somewhere else but in the end we decided to leave it there.
It's a part of the whole thing you see :p
You're right about the vocals, they are too loud. That was the first thing that popped into my mind when I listened the song with a different system.
Oh well it's all a learning experience.

Thanks for the comments Greg_L

This is pretty cool...not what I expected. I pretty much agree with Greg as far as the cymbals and vocals go. I will say that I like your singing voice - it has a lot of character and the Finnish accent is unique in a cool way. However, the vox are kind of pitchy on this. I like the instrumental break during the tune itself better than the jam at the end in which the lead guitar sounds a bit shrill and/or brittle.

I like it...tons of character and definitely something that would be cool to hear live. The recording maybe just needs a little work...

Yes my vocals got a little pitchy there but I'll probably redo it anyway when I'm getting a new mic this week, Oktavamod MK-319. So I'll try to work on my singing skills too :D
There was some talk of doing the whole song anew someday. There's some chordal changes and other adjustments we've done.
Don't know what happened with the other guitar sound there. It was really hard to EQ it. It usually isn't so cold sounding. I think the mic was positioned wrong or something because live it doesn't sound like that at all. The amp was a 1971 Marshall 100w trough a 1970 basketweave cab. The other amp was a 1968 plexi Marshall 100w and a 1969 basketweave cab. Thank you for your words heatmiser!
