I am about to purchase my first pair of SDC's so i had a look at www.thomann.de and found they have some super-cheapo prices...one pair cost 60£ and the other 100£ !!

That means the luxury pair cost 100£ which is the same as ONLY one MXL603...it's gotta be worth it??

Believe it or not, given the price they are surprisingly good! I don't own those myself but we did vocal recordings for an ep with one of them (can't remember which model it was) and the sound is really good. I was pretty surprised, too.

Also Behringer seems to have cheapo microphones now. Does anyone have any experience from using those?

I replied to a similar thread today. I had theT.Bone SC1100 and although it sounded ok when it worked!! I would say save up a little longer and get a trusted brand
