for the above genres....give me a keyboard that's well equipped and under 600 dollars.

I hear the Roland Juno D is a great buy as well as the Alesis Q6.2

Comments and suggestions.....
by the way I don't want anything used....I've also seen a Yamaha CS X2 (not sure of the model # but I think that's it....it's a closeout special $599) I just don't know anything about it.

Hey Robert - cool, I'm down with sweets, musicfriends, amercnmuscsupply and all the retailers - that's how I dwindled my choices down to the Roland, Alesis, Mini Korg and the Yama but...I'm seeking some hands on feedback from some of our on hand producers and musicians. Especially those who may be familiar with the keyboards and how they worked (or didn't work) while in use.

The other two you should give a listen to are the Yamaha S03 and the Alesis Micron. They both have their advantages and either one should be right up your alley.

As far as R+B and Hip Hop synths, almost any modern synth will do. I hear a bunch of Korg Triton on 50 cent records and Yamaha Moif on the J Lo stuff - but you don't necessarily need to drop the big coin on expensive machines like those two to make great R+B and Hip Hop.

Yama S03 --- Alesis Micron hunh?....hmmmmmmmmm- yeah I'm feeling you on the tons of loot required for triton and motif stuff - I'm looking to do my own creating with out the godzilla budget stuff....I'm more into "kids meals" right now, lol
