I did a mod on the synthedit Polysynth, adding a saturation section, which really is quite logical, to get "analog" sound.
It seems saturation can be generalized to high and low emphasis on the oscs, and then a clipper, then a low-emphasis before the filter, to make the res behave like vintage (or even extremely vintage) synths.
