Synth and drum machine? Can they sync?

Hello again!
I have a Korg MicroKorg and a Zoom MRT-3 Beat Machine.
I have heard of people syncing the beat machines to there synths arpegiator? Im a MIDI'ot!
Hows would this work? I know I have to hook up the midi out of the Korg to the midi in of the MRT-3(it only has a Midi in),but what else might have to do? And I am controlling the korg with a Radium 49......

Make sure the korg and drum machine are set to the same midi channel, and set the zoom's midi clock to ext (external) so that it may recieve the clock signal from the korg.
