syncronizing tracks???

This is my first time to edit and record anything. When I transport one track at a time from my MD8 to my lap top sometimes the tracks are not together. How can I get the two track back together? Thanks in advance.
 
Judging from your thread title, I'm guessing you mean that one is playing slightly behind the other. To line then up, (in most versions,) right click on the track you want to move and hold it down, then simply drag the track left or right. You can zoom in for more accuracy in placing it if you need it. In most cases, pushing all tracks to the left until they stop will line them up perfectly.
