Hi All,
I just copied 4 tracks from my yamaha 4 track cassette to my computer on 4 seperate tracks.

My question is:
Is their a secret to synching up all four tracks to playback properly?

Obviously I did not start each recording at the exact same time when I transferred
them over. I see no hope of getting it back in synch.

Some may even say it sounds better this way:p

Thanks
Bill

Well, you can move the tracks around with the move tool. Either line them up by ear or zoom in and line up peaks (if possible). You're lucky you only have to do 4 tracks, one time my n-Track sng file got corrupt on a 16 track project and I had to try to line everything back up...yipes.

A tip: record a series of say 4 ticks to all 4 tracks at the beginning of your recording. Then record each track to the computer, starting the tape just before the series of ticks for each track. You will end up with 4 tracks of about the same length. Then to line them up, simply zoom in and line the tick marks up by eye (use n-tracks vertical position line as a guide). Everything should now be in synch.

If your 4 track will only record to 2 tracks at a time, then you can bounce the ticks from the first two tracks to the second pair of tracks.
