Hi Everyone!
I'm very new when it comes to midi, and could use a little advice here.
I have a roland td11 e-kit, tascam 2488 neo, and ableton live 8 on my laptop. In discovering the power of digital drums, (usb) midi out to ableton live, I want to take it a step further and do the following:
1) Record a drum part direct into the 2488 via the 1/4 inch outputs; just taking an analogue out. (Done)
2) Simultaneously record the midi version of the performance to Abelton live, for editing. (Done)
**where I am stuck at**
3) Synchronize the 2488 and Ableton live, so when I hit play on the 2488 it starts playing the midi version on Ableton live, in time with the recorded performance. (Help!)
I am guessing I require a usb to midi cable from my laptop to my 2488; or is there an option on the 2488 to just connect via usb to the laptop, and sync midi?
Any help is greatly appreciated. I just started playing with the midi out on the drumkit, and was totally blown away at the power and potential!
