Sync Digi 001 w/ HD 24

Hey, maybe you can help me out with what I have in mind. I want to record all my instrument tracks on my HD24 and do the vocals on Pro Tools. I'm not looking to do the vocals on PT then just dump them into the HD24, I want to be able to record and playback vocals in sync with the HD24. I'm pretty unexperienced at syncing stuff together, so any help would be awesome. Also, I dont have any preference to which is the slave or master. Thanks!

I'm not familiar with the HD24, but all of this should be in your manual under synchronization. Configure your HD24 to output MTC at the proper frame rate.

Your HD24 has MIDI out, plug that into your 001 MIDI In.
In Pro Tools go to Setups-->Peripherals-->Synchronization and make sure under Device it is set to Generic MTC or whatever the 001 uses...and set the Port to "Any"
In your session Press CTRL (or Apple) + J to put Pro Tools online. When you press play on the HD24, it should then play in Pro Tools as well and be in sync.
