Flight 16

New member
just got it...its faster, solid, and loads new tricks..

there have been a few small bugs found that have been adressed and will be in the next build which will not take long. (to be expected with any new software) but they have defently got it right!

How much was the upgrade for you ?

Any major differences in the appearance ?

Damn you, Flight! (Just Kidding)

I'm still waiting for it to ship here in the US. I guess there was a little snafu in the warehouse with a mis-print, so they have to put new stickers on ALL the boxes before shipment. ARRG.

If you wan't to, you can elaborate a little once you start using it....I'd like to hear your opinions on it.

Go to the Steinberg web site and forum you can get all the info you need...

anyone want me to try anything out for them I will be happy to do so...

apparently the USA have had to wait due to a printing mistake on the box...??

its basically SX2 but faster with even more tricks....great Stuff for Audio..a few silly bugs, but most of them have been noted and will be fixed soon....but over all it kicks arse!

good stuff to save CPU ...

if you want to compare flight16. yes - sx is a very nice product.
i'm a puter engr , out of interest try the demo of powertracks at pgmusic.com sometime. and see what it does for the lowly sum of 29 bucks.
IT TOO KIKS booty. try the tc helicon vocal harmoniser built in sometime.

You've posted some really helpful stuff around here, but why do you keep pushing Powertracks in the Cubase forum? We're talking about SX3 in this thread.

Please don't take this the wrong way as I feel you've been helpful to others in other posts, but please, just stop pushing Powertracks here.

warble. i'm not PUSHING anything.
i'm just offering a very good alternative whch will do great songs for cheap.
if you dont believe me just try the demoes for yourself.
many people have spent lots of money on software only to end up
realising the value of what i'm suggesting.
peace.
ps...
some people just dont know whats available in the marketplace.
how will they learn ? if they dont know about alternatives ?
they only have to try the demo to see i'm not lying and make comparisons.
actually i'm hoping to qoute the past president(watson) of IBM
to suggest people THINK about their goals.
cubase are good programs. BUT there are alternatives.
some might float folks boats - others not.

i know what your saying but this thing seems VERY cheep....i allways feel you dont get nothing for nothing.... Cubase will be going for years to come and allthough they can be clumsy at times with Bugs...its a very solid exciting bit of software ....and you allways get the feeling it will only grow better...mind you they all got to start somwhere

flight 16. as people are jumping on me and accusing me of spamming. this will be my last comment on the subject. as i'm getting very annoyed as all i'm trying to do is help newbies. if you want to carry the conversation on ..
lets do it in the computing/soundcard section of this bbs.
FYI - you asked some questions so i'm responding.
1. powertracks does not operate on mac. tell your friend to try the free audacity. but there is no midi.
2. powertracks has been around for years.
i would suggest you make the comment about "cheep" on the powertracks forum at pg. so you get unbiased opinions. many users on there have used
all the competing multitrackers including cubase and many others.
i think you will find the replies fronm other powertracks users very informative. the word i would use is "a steal".
anyway this is my last word on the subject. just try the demo if you think i'm lying because i'm tired of being jumped on.
peace.
