Hello guys,

I want to mix my material for the 2nd cd. I have 8 songs but every of them is saved as separate cubase sx3 project. This is gonna be a rock album where the drums were recorded at the studio on 8 tracks. I want the drums and the bas line sound the same on all songs but as I said theses songs are separate projects with different tempo track and so on.

What, in your opinion, will be the the best way to mix all songs so I didn't have to copy drums and bass insterts/sends properties in every project? Should I join all projects into one project, if so how will I do this?

Maybe there some functions in sx3 I could use in this case?

thanks a lot for your help

Right click on the mixer. Select 'Save all mixer settings' in the mix that you like.

Then open up a different project, right click the mixer and select 'Load all mixer settings'.

You have just copied all the mixer settings from one song to another.

If you are just trying to do drums and bass: Select all the channels for the drums and bass, then right click on the mixer and select 'save selected channels'.

Open the new project, select the channels for the drums and the bass (they have to be in the same order for any of this to work out right), right click on the mixer, select 'load selected channels'.

Thanx Jay,

I know the thing with mixer copying, but the problem is that if I change anything in the drums/bass settings I will have to copy/paste them to all of the projects. I'd like the change in one project to influence all the other projects.

Any ideas how to do that?
