Would someone please explain how to populate this window. I did some RTFM and came up empty.

Load a track of some sort into Reaper

Select it

Then click on the 'Analyze selected tracks' button

The biggest issue with the SWS loudness is that it won't allow you to analyze a master track. If you want to look at your final file statistics, you must render the file, then load that track into Reaper, select and analyze.

Its usually not a major problem, since rendering in Reaper is usually pretty quick for moderately sized projects.

I notice my drums (MIDI) didn't show up. Do I need to convert them to an audio wave. Should I convert, even..?

Yes. Midi data has no level to measure
