Give Samplitude a try. Those of us who use it are loyal disciples, as it is a tremedous program. There's a full-feature demo on their website that works for 90 days. Samplitude is also having a cross-grade promotion through November 15 --- the cross-grade price on the 2496 "producer" version (the most inclusive version) is about $200, which is about 1/4 of the regular list price and 1/3 of the usual retail price. Their website is http://www.samplitude.com/
One more thing. Samplitude is a powerful program, and there is a bit of a learning curve. There is an online manual you can download from the website with their demo version, and it is very helpful, but it will still take a bit of time to get an idea of the many things you can do. So if you try it out, be patient and give yourself a little time to get used to it.

Kelby.

I agree completely. Samplitude is the complete package, you can track, mix, master, and burn CDs with one program. Best of all, it sounds great! I have Cubase, Cakewalk, and Wavelab, and all I use is Samplitude.
