switching computers with CD architect

we don't need rest!!
so, I switched computers that I want to use CD architect with...mainly because of wanting to use a faster burner than my now outdated SCSI Plextor drive. I come to find out that switching computers and OS, I need a new activation code, or whatever, and can't even upgrade (to my knowledge). I also am led to believe that I can't get answers from Sony until the next business day...in other words, I can't resolve this issue over the weekend to be able to use CD architect for a session.

This seems to kinda suck.

BTW, what other programs do what CD Architect is capable of doing? I REALLY like CD architect, but am willing to switch if there is a better program. I tried an older version of Wavelab, but wasn't as impressed with the ease of use as compared to CD architect.
 
since this post got flooded with replies, thought I'd add one more.. The upgrade to cdarch 5.0 is only $75...couldn't resist. ..or only $239 for first time buyers. The upgrades look very promising over my "old" 4.0f version. Should have it in a couple days with the free UPS ground shipping.
 
CDA5 is a nice improvement over previous versions. First of all, it's a stand-alone prog, and not a plug-in. Secondly, you can use 24-bit files with it - can't do that with 4.x. Also, there's a second audio layer you can use for really complex crossfades. Much easier to use than WaveLab for sure.
