Here's the situation:
I have a TASCAM 2488, a POD XTL, and a Boss DR-670 drum machine. I'd like to be able to switch the outputs of any of these to my Wharfedale active monitors; and be able to switch the outputs of the POD and the Boss to either the monitors or to channel inputs of the TASCAM.
After digging around on the net I didn't see anything that looked suitable (that didn't cost a small fortune and do a lot more than I needed), so I came up with a design using manual switching.
The design is shown below. The switches are standard miniature toggles - two are 2-position and one is a three-position. I think I can build the thing for about $50.
I'd appreciate any critiques or comments on the design. I do have a question about the switches: they are available as grounding or non-grounding (when transitioning between positions). Would a grounding switch prevent pops when switching inputs to the monitors?
Thanks for any comments.
