NL5

Unpossible!
Dogman let me use his tracks to test out the new rig - found out I have a lot of problems to take care of. :(

Here is a rough mix of the song, tell me what you think -

Thanks.

:D

Definitely muddy man....

Here's what I have so far.....
Sweet Scratch

Although, you did a better job with my vocals.... :D

I find it kind of murky, distorted and far away.. would like to hear the rythm guitars kind of nice and upfront. The guitars do kind of have the same sound as the originals though. The drums are way to upfront. Is this a live recording? Nothing wrong with the playing! The atonal vocal is kind of interesting...

Sounds cool to me.

The cymbals are distorted in my speakers. on the first track, not on Dogamns mix :)

Perhaps a tad more delay\verb on the vox would be cool

Kickass tune however

Haha nice job guys. Good to see the classics brought to life again and wearing new clothes

Hah!,, Nice!

Love that tune, and that version was a tad Cathedral-ish on the vocals, which isn't bad. Bassplayer must've been on the appropriate substances? :D

The first mix (NL5's) seems to be distorting on the bottom end (bass guitar). May be just my earbuds though. I like the drums where they are but the guitars seem too far back in comparison.

Vocals are good, I might add some more reverb/echo to taste....

Cool

Thanks for all the input.

As I said, this is the first mix on the new rig, and I discovered I have a LOT of problems, as well as getting used to a new setup.

Much of the distortion/mud came in when I tried to record the hardware mix back into the computer. Kids were sleeping, so I did it blind. :( I had to jerry rig a way to get it back into the computer until my cables get here, and I think they were messed up.

I'll try and get things working right, and re-post a hopefully better mix.....
