It is great that you experienced Sway and Tech.

I am not being facetious, so please don't take any offense, but who do you think that guy "Sway" is on MTV???

I DJ'ed on the Sway and Tech Show back in 96' or 97'.

Once again, I am glad that you are getting the chance to finally experience them. :)

This kid (a friend of my brothers) says that they sound too commercial, and they are biting off of Mos Def...

WHAT???

Mos Def using a Rakim lyric is like Hebrews praying to the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. Its all about linking to the past to make your future. you know, like Jay-Z biting Big, or Cassidy biting Jay-Z... ummm, wait... i think i lost the point.
 
Spinster, I am familiar with the wake up show that they have hosted for over ten years, and I know that Sway is on MTV -- I didn't know they made albums till recently though.

So everyone's heard of them...fine. Does anyone plan on buying the new album when it comes out? What do you think about their material?
 
No way they are that commerical really still. They did announce a few westcoast dates if anybody wants ot check them out
