sustaining notes question

I'm adding a music bed under a voiceover track and want to end the music on a button...I mean just one beat or note and then just sustain it for a few seconds to end the piece. I'm not familiar with editing music so how can I do this? I'm using Pro Tools LE. Do I need to use Reverb or something else? Details would be appreciated!

How are you recording the music? Is it live instruments or are you creating loops? Be a little precise in what you are doing and maybe someone can help you.

you can mess around with a little reverb or try the Time Compression/Expansion tool if you don't need it to hold out for too long.
